Superintendent's Message
Welcome to Florence School District 3 where our mission is to ensure all of our students receive a quality education in a safe and engaging learning environment. As a team, we are focused on providing deliberate, high-quality education for all students. Our students and staff use their Power of One daily to influence positive outcomes in the lives of the students and families we serve.
With the vision of "Lifelong Learning for All," we continue the excellence tradition and prepare our students for career skills. Our commitment ensures students are college or career-ready by providing equitable services, resources, and opportunities aligned with their interests and talents.
We are proud to connect our students to various innovative and challenging learning opportunities, such as STEM camps at Allen University, healthcare internships, and other space camps. We offer diverse learning opportunities. These programs engage students in hands-on, rigorous, and relevant studies with a strong emphasis on STEM. We aim to align these programs with our students' interests, meet challenging academic standards, and, most importantly, prepare them for their future college and career paths.
The district continues to promote college coursework at the Continuum in Lake City, which serves as a regional education and workforce development center. We recently established a partnership with the University Of South Carolina Darla Moore School Of Business. We have a cohort of student scholars enrolled in the university’s Power Forward Initiative.
At FSD3, our teachers, instructional leaders, and support staff are not just competent and qualified but also deeply committed to the success of all student scholars. Their unwavering dedication is the cornerstone of our educational initiatives, creating an environment that fosters learning, growth, and success.
