Two students were recognized Thursday by the Florence School District 3 Board of Trustees for receiving perfect scores in the SC Ready tests, effectively placing them in a distinguished top one percent of students in grades 3-8 across South Carolina.
Statewide, approximately 1800 students across received a perfect score on one or more of the SC Ready tests.
Jase Kirby and Kirklen Hair, both students at J.C. Lynch Elementary School, received perfect scores on the math portion of SC Ready. The two were recognized along with their teacher, Kirsten Burgess.
Students who received perfect scores on both the SC Ready English language arts and math tests received a letter and certificate from State Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver.
