Any candidate seeking a political party’s nomination for any office in the 2026 General Election must file with the appropriate county board of voter registration & elections during the upcoming filing period.
The filing period for Florence School District 3 Board of Trustees seats 1, 3, 4, 6 and 7 is from noon, August 3, 2026, until noon, August 17, 2026. (Map of voting districts)
Candidates for FSD 3 Board of Trustees can file at the Florence County Board of Voter Registration and Elections (219 Third Loop Road, Florence, S.C. 29505 – 843-665-3094) or the Florence School District 3 Administrative Office (125 S. Blanding St., Lake City, SC 29560).

Weekdays: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
County Board of Voter Registration and Elections Filing hours:
Weekdays: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
FSD3 Administrative Officer hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Filing Form: The Statement of Intention of Candidacy Non-Partisan form required for filing is available in the “Candidate Information” section of scVOTES.org and at the county elections office.
Filing Fee: There is no filing fee for FSD3 Board of Trustees elections.
State Ethics Filings: Candidates are required to file a Statement of Economic Interests and a Campaign Disclosure online with the State Ethics Commission at http://ethics.sc.gov. Failure to file these documents may result in a candidate fine but will not disqualify a candidate from the election. Contact the State Ethics Commission for more information.
