Lake City High School recognized its top students during its annual academic banquet Tuesday, May 22.
The banquet honors the top 10 seniors and the top five students in the freshman, sophomore and junior classes for their academic achievements. Each student receives a plaque and medallion commemorating their achievements.
The program included comments from district superintendent Laura Hickson. Medallions and plaques were presented to students by Principal Ned Blake along with assistant principals Jonte’ Barr, Scott Lamparski and Chad Martin along with Leon Burgess, director of the LCHS Career Center.
Students recognized at the banquet were:
Seniors: Cathryn Ackerman, Melanie Fajardo, Matthew Howard, Haleigh Lambert, Damian Lee, Daniel Malasky, Morgan Marsh, Brooke Townsend, Emily Watford and John Wilson.
Juniors: Zaria Cameron, Alana Fulmore, Briyanna Owens, Frances Singletary and Jordan Yarborough.
Sophomores: Benjamin Courtney, Savannah Patrick, Breanna Pierson, Kimani Ross and Rashaad Simmons.
Freshmen: Megan Atkinson, Ava Bingham, Thomas Malasky, Leah Matthews and Caleb Wallace.
