First Day of School and Things 6 Parents Should Know:

The first day of school for students is Monday, August 20, 2018.  Six things parents should know as we begin the 2018 school year:

  1. FSD3 teachers, principals, and staff have been planning all summer for your child’s return and success.
  2. Buses will run on Monday morning.  Buses may be running late to and from school as this is the 1st week of school, and we still have a shortage of bus drivers.  However, please know we will do everything possible to stay on schedule.  Your child is important to us.
  3. Remind your child to bring only learning materials to school daily. No toys, cell phones, or other items of value that may be distracting or lost during the school day.  FSD3 will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
  4. Safety is our priority.  Please ensure your child and the school know how your child will get to and from school daily.
  5. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to all students starting the first day of school.
  6. Schools’ start and dismissal times are below.  Please have your child at school at least 15 minutes before the start time and picked up on time.
If you have questions as we start the 2018 school year, please contact your child’s school.  If no response, please call the district office at (843) 374-8652 x1144.
