Florence County School District Three will hold registration and screening for 4-year-old kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year March 14-15.
To be eligible for 4K, a child must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019.
Registration will be held at J. C. Lynch Elementary School (843-389-3323), Lake City Early Childhood Center of the Arts (843-374-2353), Olanta Creative Arts and Science Magnet School (843-396-4457) and Scranton Elementary STEAM Academy (843-389-2531) during regular school hours.
To pre-register your child for 4K, call the school for which you are zoned to schedule an appointment and bring the following documents:
- Photo identification
- State-issued birth certificate (long form required)
- Proof of income or Medicaid card
- Immunization certificate
- Proof of residency (current electric bill displaying service address that matches photo ID and billing date). If the electric bill is in a different name, you must present a notarized document verifying residency.
You must bring your child to the appointment for testing. All students must be tested and qualify for the program.
