Florence County School District Three has scheduled two public hearings on its projected 2023-2024, General Fund budget, Thursday, April 6, at 5 p.m. and Thursday, May 18, at 5 p.m. in the board meeting room located behind the district office at 125 South Blanding St., Lake City. The public can also participate in the meeting virtually.
The funding found in the New Education Funding Reform/ Aid to Classrooms, proposed in the FY 23-24 Executive Budget, amended by House Ways and Means. The projected 2023-2024 budget is preliminary, based on the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) formula and current projected revenues. All budget figures are subject to change as more budget information becomes available from the SCDE.
Florence County School District Three projects the district’s millage for 2023-2024 to be 243.47 mills for operations.
