Florence School District 3 students continue to make meaningful gains in student achievement, with strong growth reflected in the district’s SC READY assessment results released Monday, August 10.

Florence School District 3 is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the (2026-2027) school year. Section 104(a) of the Healthy, Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 amended section 11(a)(1) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1759a(a)(1))(the law) to provide an alternative to household applications for free and reduced-price meals in local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with increased levels of low-income students. This alternative is referred to as the Community Eligibility Provision. All students enrolled in the school/district may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge to them. Families will not have to fill out meal applications.

​Safety is a top priority in FSD3. All students should bring only their books, school supplies and materials to school. The following items should not be on any FSD3 property to include schools, buses, and athletic fields and games. Student drivers should not have these items in their vehicles on district property as well.

The Education Scholarship Trust Fund Program, administered by the South Carolina Department of Education, allows qualifying South Carolina families to apply for a scholarship. For the 2025-2026 school year, the award amount is $7,500. For the 2026-2027 school year, the awarded amount will increase to $7,634.
