Florence County School District Three is accepting applications for 4-year-old kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year beginning March 1.
Applications will be accepted at the district office located at 125 S. Blanding St., Lake City. The district office is open Mondays through Thursdays from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
To be eligible for 4K, a child must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2017.
To register a child, parents should have the following information for registration: long form birth certificate (small cards are not accepted), child’s Social Security card, Medicaid card or proof of income (W2 or recent pay stub of each adult in the household), state certificate of immunization or exemption card, proof of residency (current light bill), photo identification of parent/guardian with an address that matches that of the current light bill (driver’s license or other state issued identification) and legal documentation for anyone other than biological parents to show guardianship.
A certificate of immunization can be obtained from the local Health Department (394-8822) Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
