Posted on 02/12/2020

Florence School District 3 is hosting the Governor’s School for Math & Science’s iTeams Xtreme Summer Camp June 15-18 at J. Paul Truluck Creative Arts and Science Magnet School from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. each day.

The camp is open to all rising sixth, seventh and eighth graders. There is no cost to parents/students, and transportation as well as breakfast and lunch are provided.

Sharpen your technology skills this summer through one of two tracks:

  • Arduino & Robotics - Explore the world of computational thinking and micro-controllers using Arduino technology and robotics. Learn how to program your very own micro-controlled robot and pit it against other students' robots in camp wide competitions such as Maze Runner and Robot Wars.
  • Game Design - Explore the world of game design as you create and play 2D and 3D multi-platform games in camp wide competitions.

The online application period opens February 13 at https://scgssm.org/iteams . Fliers also will be sent home with students currently in grades 5-7. Space is limited, so don’t wait to apply.
