ACCESS for ELLs Language Proficiency Test

Each year, English Language Learners in grades K-12 will participate in the administration of the ACCESS for ELLs language proficiency test. Please note, this is a mandated test administered to all ELL students. ACCESS provides a standardized measurement of academic language proficiency for English Language Learner (ELL) in Florence School District 3, along with other school districts throughout the state of South Carolina. Each form of the test assesses the four language domains of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. This information allows us to monitor individual ELL student progress on an annual basis.

Test Dates:

  • Friday, February 2, 2024–Day 1–Listening
  • Monday, February 5, 2024–Day 2–Reading
  • Tuesday, February 6, 2024–Day 3–Writing
  • Thursday, February 8, 2024–Day 4–Speaking

Make-up Testing:
Week of February 19th - 23rd
