Lake City High School is hosting an informational meeting for parents interested in learning more about College 101, an enrichment class offered for LCHS juniors.
The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, from 8:30-10 a.m. in the staff development room located behind the district administrative offices at 125 S. Blanding St. in Lake City.

Breakfast will be available at no cost to all participants.
College 101 covers many important components of preparing for college, such as:
- How to get full college scholarships
- Identifying large dollar private scholarships
- Identifying each student’s strengths and weaknesses as a potential college or scholarship applicant
- Developing college-level writing skills
- Identifying the most cost-effective college/career pathways
- Engaging in college research to identify the right college match
- Writing college and scholarship essays
