In an effort to increase the safety of its students, Florence County School District Three has partnered with School Messenger to add a new anti-bullying and safety communications tool called QuickTip.

Quick Tip provides a simple tip line allowing students and members of the community to communicate with the district or school about pressing issues in a truly anonymous way.

Tips are sent using a form available online at https://asp.schoolmessenger.com/florencecsd3/quicktip/. User can also download the app from Google Play and the iTunes store by searching for "School Messenger Quick Tip." After downloading the app, use location code florencecsd3.

When sending a tip, a submitter selects the relevant school or organization, the topic which best describes their tip, and then enters the tip message. If the submitter has an image related to the tip, he or she has the option of attaching it to the message. If tip submitter wants to include contact information, there are also fields to allow him or her to do so, but providing contact information is not required to submit a tip.

QuickTip allows for the quick, easy, and anonymous reporting of urgent information regarding student safety to school officials. Students, parents, and staff are encouraged to confidentially and anonymously report student safety concerns such as bullying, cyberbullying, drug or alcohol use, fights and more. All incident reports remain anonymous unless the submitter selects the option to reveal their identity.

"As an added component of our commitment to student safety, we are announcing our launch of QuickTip, which empowers our students, parents and staff to effectively report urgent information to school officials across all of our school campuses,” said Laura Hickson, FCSD3 Superintendent. “Our students are encouraged to continue to go to a trusted adult, but we understand that at times an anonymous report may be preferred. Our top priority is the safety of our students, and we believe that QuickTip will increase the reporting of anything that threatens that safety.”

A link to QuickTip can be found on the district website under the "Quick Links" section on the front page as well as under the “Parent Info” and “Student Info” menus near the top of the home page. A Quick Link will also appear on the district's home page.
