Olanta Creative Arts and Science Magnet School has received a $7,400 grant from the South Carolina Arts Commission to purchase Wenger flipFORMS® to use in its multipurpose room for the school’s related arts classes.

The flipFORMS® are flexible multiposition and multiuse performance platforms in one unit. The platforms can be used for mobile seating or as risers for musical performances.

Ameerah Eaddy, OMS’s music teacher, wrote and submitted the grant to the South Carolina Arts Commission.

“The use of flipFORMS will allow for creativity in how the space is used and open up options that will allow students to be immersed in certain activities,” Ms. Eaddy said.

The South Carolina Arts Commission is the state agency charged with creating a thriving arts environment that benefits all South Carolinians, regardless of their location or circumstances. Created by the South Carolina General Assembly in 1967, the Arts Commission is working to increase public participation in the arts by providing services, grants and leadership initiatives in three areas: arts education, community arts development and artist development. Headquartered in Columbia, SC, the Arts Commission is funded by the state of South Carolina and by the federal government through the National Endowment for the Arts.
