More than 150 parents and students turned out Saturday for Florence County School District Three’s annual Back-to-School Bash at the Lake City High School gym.

This annual event provides parents with valuable information about resources and tools available to support and guide their children through the 2019-2020 school year. Parents also heard from guest speakers and vendors who provide family and educational support services.

Students and their parents participated together in STEAM activities, such as making slime using corn starch, body wash and food coloring, as well as creating cars using plastic bottles, CDs, balloons and other household items.

Participants were treated to a free continental breakfast and lunch and were give free school supplies.
